ghd Final Fix Hairspray

ghd Final Fix Hairspray* £9.95

Hairspray is an essential product for me but one I find quite boring to shop for! I pretty much always just purchase what ever brand is on offer in Boots. ghd recently got in touch and asked if I'd like to try out a couple of their styling products and I was very excited to give the Final Fix Hairspray a go. ghd is my go to brand for hair straighteners and I recently did a post on the beautiful rose gold straighteners that I bought last year.

The ghd Final Fix Hairspray is a lightly fragranced spray designed to keep hair in place but still be light enough to be brushed out to let you restyle your hair. It is humidity resistant and fine enough that it doesn't leave your hair with that horrible crispy feeling you can sometimes get from a hairspray.

My hair is naturally fairly thick and wavy so I have to straighten it after I've washed it to try and keep it under control. When it's humid out or it rains my hair frizzes, using the ghd Final Fix helps to stop my hair from becoming a bit of a birds nest when it's a bit damp or humid outside. It holds my hair in place whilst helping to give my hair a bit of volume, it also smells gorgeous! This is the first hairspray I've tried that doesn't have that chemical smell.

It's a little pricier than other hairsprays but is a much better quality and worth the expense in my opinion!

a princess perfect phone case

Who doesn't want a phone case that's fit for a princess? I've seen these glitter phone cases around a fair bit lately and knew I wanted to get one, even though it's not technically Disney! My port of call is always eBay when I'm after a new phone case as I never want to spend more than £5.

I found this glitter iPhone case here for just £3.79 with free delivery and ordered it straight away.
It's available in so many different colours that I'm having to restrain myself from creating a glittery rainbow collection of the cases!
The case is bulkier than other cases I've had but I am completely used to it now and find myself just sitting and playing with the glitter, it really is quite addictive for a phone case!

Are you a fan of the glittery phone case?

Diet Coke and L'Oreal L'Extraordinare Lipstick Bargain

There is little in life I love more than lipstick, I also have a bit of an obsession with Diet Coke! I wanted to share this great deal that's currently running in Boots until the 26th of May.
Diet Coke wants to encourage women to 'be impulsive' and make a statement, so they have teamed up with L'Oreal to offer you a way to transform your look with a bargain deal.

Purchase a 500ml bottle of Diet Coke until May 26th and you will receive £5 off a L'Oreal Paris Color Riche L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick, making the lipstick better than half price!

L'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick has a breakthrough technology that blends oils (argan, lotus flower, camelia seed and rose canina fruit) and pigment to give the colour intensity of a lipstick, the shine of a gloss and the smoothness of a balm. Very similar to the YSL Glossy Stains, the L'Oreal L'Extraordinaire Lipsticks are very pigmented, opaque and soft on the lips. The packaging also has a much more luxe feel that you'd expect for the price.

If you pass by a Boots before May 26th then it's definitely worth treating yourself with this fab deal!

Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease

Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed CreaseReal Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed CreaseReal Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed CreaseReal Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease
Real Techniques Bold Metals 201 Pointed Crease* £12

Real Techniques are pretty much the only make up brushes I use. The original collection is very affordable and brilliant quality. It's one of those beauty items that once I bought I really wondered what I did before owning! Real Techniques are incredibly popular and this year the range was expanded to include a new luxury collection of brushes.
I think it's important to mention that the Bold Metals brushes are aimed more towards those working in make up artistry or someone with more make up experience etc. Of course anyone can use them, I'm in no way a pro myself, but these brushes are definitely different to the original Real Techniques range. The collection is beautiful to look at but I'm not completely in love with the whole range.

I've been trying out a few of the Bold Metals brushes and actually have varying opinions on each brush I've tried. My favourite by far is the 201 Pointed Crease brush. The 201 Brush is part of the Platinum Bold Metals line up, which consists of brushes for applying eye make up.

I love the look and feel of the 201 Pointed Crease, like all the Bold Metals brushes it has a weighted feel that I really like. The handle is much longer than the standard RT brushes and generally has a much more luxe and professional look and feel. I love the sophisticated platinum metal handle that is tapered at the ends to fit easily into MUA brush belts and holders.

The 201 is a densely packed, stiff and tapered brush. This brush is brilliant for applying shadow in the socket and for blending out. The shape of the brush means you can use the tip and sides of the brush for different things. It packs on the colour where you want it and is great for softening the edge for a professional looking smokey eye. I also like to use this to smudge and soften liner and shadow both on top and under my eye. It's a fair sized brush so if you have very small eyes it may not be best for you. However I've also tried it for blending concealer and it works really well!

I'm not completely in love with the whole range but really do love the 201 Pointed Crease!
Have you tried any of the Bold Metals brushes?

Benefit Brow Bar Experience Vlog

If you head to a Benefit Brow Bar this month and book in for a brow wax then not only will 100% of profits Benefit make go to charities helping women and girls, you will also receive a free full size Gimme Brow (my absolute favourite brow product!)

I popped to Benefit yesterday to get my brows 'wowed' but also wanted to share with you a vlog I did from March when I filmed the whole process to show how Benefit wax and tint brows to give that amazing brow we all long for. I'm a massive wimp with pain and actually think the brow wax is completely fine, I wouldn't have been back so many times if it was in anyway uncomfortable.
My favourite part of the Benefit Brow Service is the tint as it makes a huge difference to my brows. I have fairly sparse brows that need a lot of work to give me that defined arch I love, but the tint makes a huge difference as you will see in the vlog!

You can watch the vlog online here.

Don't forget to book in for your #boldisbeautiful brow wax in May and be part of an amazing cause!

Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadow in Aquatic Rose £19

The summer weather is on the way (I hope) and with the promise of warmer days and longer nights come the limited edition launches from beauty brands for summer 2015! I always love the Clarins limited collections and this year's 'Aquatic Treasures' theme has not let me down. The collection is full of easy to wear products that will give you that bronzed goddess look we all long for!I have been lusting after a few pieces from the collection, next on my list is the bronzer, but my priority was this gorgeous Ombre Shadow and not just because of the beautiful packaging.

I am already a huge fan of the Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadows and when I spotted the limited edition Aquatic Rose shade I knew it was going to be mine! I've talked about my love for all things rose gold hundreds of times before, so Aquatic Rose could not be more up my street if it tried.
I absolutely love the packaging, it's very simple but I love the rose gold lid. The original Ombre shadows have the Clarins gold lids but the two in the Aquatic Treasures collection have lids that correspond with the shadow shade, which I think is fab!

The Aquatic Rose Ombre Shadow had a cream to powder formula that stays put all day on me without fading or creasing. If you have oily eyes you'll love the long lasting formula of these and if you have drier eyes then you will love the cream texture. The shadow is incredibly pigmented, the above swatch is just one swipe of the product. The creamy texture makes the shadow really easy to apply either with brushes or fingers, I use a more compact brush to apply the shadow and then my MAC 217 to blend. The tiniest amount goes a really long way so this little gem is going to last me a very long time.

I absolutely love the rose golden bronze shade of Aquatic Rose. I usually apply a few different shadows but for the past week I've been using just this because I love the colour so much. It's a shimmery golden bronze shade with a hint of pink. If you are also a rose gold fan then you definitely need to get yourself down to a Clarins counter and snap one of these up before they are gone for good! The

Have you picked up anything from the Clarins Aquatic Treasures collection?
The Clarins Ombre Iridescent Eyeshadow in Aquatic Rose is £19 available online and at counters for a limited time.

Remington Reveal Facial Cleansing Brush

Remington Reveal Facial Cleansing Brush* £79.99

I love a gadget, whether it's the latest iPhone or the newest electrical beauty launch; I am always interested in the newest technology hitting the market. There has been a huge surge in electrical beauty products over the past couple of years with cleansing brushes leading the way in popularity with claims that they can clean your skin ten times better than a manual cleansing method.
I've only ever tried the Magnitone Lucid Cleansing Brush, which I like a lot but now much prefer the new Remington Reveal. A couple of months ago I was kindly invited to meet Dr. Barbara Kubicka, Remington's Skincare Expert, who taught me all about the Reveal Brush and why it's so great!

The Remington Reveal is a lightweight and sleek cleansing brush, in a cute mint green colour, that has been designed to improve the performance of your cleanser instead of exfoliating your skin like most cleansing brushes do. The Remington Reveal comes with a wash bag, which is great for taking your brush with you if you go away, three brush heads with protective caps and a charging stand. I love that the brush stands up as it feels much more hygienic than having to lay it down.

The normal brush head is for everyday cleansing for all skin types, the sensitive brush head gives a gentle but still through cleanse for sensitive skin and the massage brush head helps to give tired skin a plumper appearance and radiant glow and can be used on all skin types. You can also purchase an exfoliating brush head, all brush heads should be replaced between every 3-6 months and can be bought at most retailers.
There is also three different speed settings so even the most sensitive skin can use the Remington Reveal by picking the sensitive brush head and lowest speed setting.

The Remington Reveal is best used once a day, you'll easily find the routine that works best for you. It helps to deep cleanse the skin, shifting any impurities and dirt that's clogging your skin and pores, leaving you with an instantly brighter and fresher looking complexion. You can use the brush in the shower and it has a handy 60 second timer with a pulse every 20 seconds to tell you when to move to another area of your skin.

Using the Remington Reveal brush daily has really improved the condition of my skin. I had a couple of tiny spots appear from the first few days of using the brush but they went away much faster than I expected and have not returned. It's incredibly gentle and really feels like it's properly cleansing the skin and not like it's exfoliating or damaging in anyway. My skin instantly looks much brighter when I use this and over the past month the texture is much smoother and clearer.

I really recommend the Remington Reveal Cleansing Brush if you are after a brush that's going to give you that deep cleanse without the harshness that you can get from other brushes. It's incredibly gentle and really does the job.
At £79.99 it's also a great price point!

Would you try the Remington Reveal Cleansing Brush?
