Chelsea Harbour Hotel Spa

Last week I finally experienced my first every spa day and all I can say is WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME TO GO SOONER?! I was kindly invited to the spa at The Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London to try out their facilities and have my first ever massage with my friend Louise! I have to say I had no idea what to expect but I had the most relaxing afternoon and have already begun trying to convince my Nan to book a spa weekend with me.

The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is situated in an exclusive, tucked away area of Chelsea Harbour in west London. The harbour area feels like a hidden away and secret part of London. The hotel overlooks the marina and the River Thames, it also has lovely views of the rest of London. The Chelsea Harbour Hotel is a 5 star retreat that would be the perfect place to spend a relaxing weekend in the city where you are close enough to see the sights but can still unwind in peace.

The hotel has a calming atmosphere that continues through to it's onsite health club and spa. The spa has a range of facilities including a fully equipped gym, health club, hair salon, pool, sauna, steam room, relaxation room and six treatment rooms. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely team and provided with our gowns, slippers and towels to use whilst there. We were shown to the spacious and modern changing and locker area that had powerful showers with toiletries provided, a make up station and an area to dry and style your hair with tools provided.

Myself and Louise popped on our swimming gear and robes and really got in the 'spa frame of mind'. We headed down to the pool area to swim a few lengths but mostly just to relax. I loved that the pool space was light and airy, with a wall of windows letting in lots of natural light. Sometimes indoor swimming pools can feel cramped but the Chelsea Harbour Hotel pool is open and spacious.

After our swim we checked out the sauna and steam rooms. The steam room felt amazing and was a great skin treatment as it opens up the pores to help get rid of any impurities and nastiness. I only popped into the sauna for a couple of minutes and couldn't help myself but recreate the scene from Frozen when Wandering Oaken shouts *YooHoo* to his family in his sauna!

It was soon time to head to the Relaxation Room to wait for our aromatherapy full body massages, to be honest I would have happily sat in the Relaxation Room for an hour as it was incredibly calming in there! With mood lighting, comfy arm chairs and soothing music, we both almost fell asleep whilst we waited to be taken to out Therapy Rooms.

I had no idea what an aromatherapy full body massage would be like and was a tad worried it would be awkward but I was so wrong. The therapist put me at ease straight away explaining what she would be doing and asking if I had any questions. At this point I did ask for her not to touch my feet as I am a feet hater, this wasn't a problem at all and I felt very relaxed in her capable and soothing hands!

The massage itself was incredible, it was strange at points when the therapist was pushing out the tension but she was quick to check that I was okay and her pressure was suitable. I spent most of the hour trying to stay awake as I felt incredibly relaxed, calm and comfortable. I honestly felt so much lighter and like an actual weight had been lifted off me afterwards.

An afternoon like this isn't something I'd be able to afford every week but I definitely would treat myself to a massage every few months or so. The Aromatherapy Massage costs £80 for an hour, a fair price for a five star hotel in an exclusive area of London. It's definitely worth they money for the incredibly relaxing experience and feeling that stayed with me for days afterwards!

If you're looking to book a spa weekend or just fancy a treatment I'd highly recommend The Chelsea Harbour Hotel Spa, even the two hour long tube journey home didn't stress me out after a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.

Now go back and count how many times I used the word relaxing, ha!

Amazing Concealer 6ml* £19.50

AmazingConcealer is one of those products that has become a cult product with a huge following of people loving it! It's been on my radar for a while and I was so excited to try it when it became available in the UK. Amazing Cosmetics is a brand that isn't the easiest to pick up but is available instore and online at M&S and at Cult Beauty.

I love a high coverage concealer and use one almost every day to cover the redness on my skin, I usually go for the Collection Lasting Perfection. AmazingConcealer has a complexion-perfection, highly-pigmented formula that gives a natural and skin like finish with full coverage to cover everything from dark circles to blemishes

AmazingConcealer comes in 10 different shades that range from fair to deep. There are shades for both warm and cool undertones. I am very pale and the shade Fair is a great match for me, it has a yellow undertone which works well to conceal redness and cover blemishes.

The texture is thick but has a liquid consistency. It is incredibly pigmented and you only need the smallest amount. If you haven't used a high coverage concealer before then it may feel a little paint like, however it really is very easy to apply and blend out. It does run the risk of looking cakey if you apply too much but you quickly get the hang of how much product is right for you.

It really does cover anything and everything, it's kind of addictive because once you see how good your skin can look with this you won't want to not use it. When you apply AmazingConcealer it has a shiny looking finish until it sets and dries to a matte finish that won't budge. It's not going anywhere even if you have the oiliest of skins. I've got high hopes for this becoming a summer essential if we are lucky enough to get a heat wave!

AmazingConcealer is available in two sizes, a 6ml and 15ml. It's not the cheapest at £19.50 for the 6ml but a tiny amount really does go along way, it's definitely one of those investment pieces of make up that you won't want to live without once you fall for it!

Take the time to apply and blend this properly and you've got a seriously amazing (sorry) concealer!
AmazingConcealer is available online here.

GHD Rose Gold Hair Straightener

For Christmas last year my Nan kindly gave me some money towards a new pair of GHD hair straighteners and as soon as I saw the rose gold collection I knew they were the pair I was going for.
I'm still rose gold obsessed and think these limited edition straighteners are a thing of absolute beauty.

I posted a review and first impressions last year that I realised I hadn't shared on my blog yet.
Watch the video above or here if you want to see me using the straighteners for the first time and here my first impressions.

My first pair of GHD's lasted 6 years and were well worth the money, the rose gold editions are more pricey than a standard straightener but worth the extra for the beauty!

Are you a fan of the rose gold GHD's?

JewelStreet & Christina Oswin Earrings

Christina Oswin 9ct Rose Gold Rock Earstuds* £75

I'm still obsessed with all things rose gold and have been looking for a simple pair of stud earrings that I can wear every single day. The team at JewelStreet recently got in touch and asked if I'd be interested in featuring a piece from the wide range of designers and brands that they have on their website.

JewelStreet is a worldwide online marketplace of professional jewellery. There are over 250 designers and brands hosted at JewelStreet, making it the biggest jewellery marketplace in the world! There are also designers from all over the world as well as some that are exclusive to JewelStreet.
Your order is bought direct from the designer so that you get quality assured pieces. JewelStreet is home to the latest trends as well as classic pieces, all ranging from £20 up to the higher end. Whatever your budget you will find something high quality at a reasonable price.

I found the perfect simple studs that completely fitted what I was after by the designer Christina Oswin. The 9ct studs are made from recycled rose gold and turned into gem shapes. The earrings can be made with a matte or polished finish, mine are the polish version. I love that the studs are recycled and hand made, meaning each pair are different. The quality is lovely and the design timeless. I've already worn them every day for two weeks since receiving them!

If you are looking for quality pieces of jewellery whether for yourself or a gift then make sure you check out JewelStreet! There are some wonderful designers and pieces on there that are great quality and prices.

LUSH Easter 2015

Here's a quick look at a few bits from the fun Easter collection from LUSH that won't be around for much longer! The range has been out for a while and should be around til stocks last, so there is still time to shop the range both online and in stores. LUSH limited ranges are always eagerly anticipated and very popular, the Easter collection is definitely one of the most popular launches of each year.
The Easter range is full of bath and body products to satisfy everyone! With bright colours, fun designs and yummy scents, it ticks all the boxes of what you want from a LUSH limited collection.

Pot O'Gold- Why wouldn't you want to make showers fun by using a gorgeous scented jelly for a deep skin cleanse! Open the lid and you literally have a tub of sparkly gold jelly. You can break pieces off to use, however this take a lot of effort, or simply rub the whole jelly over your body. I may be a bit of a big kid but it really does make a shower fun. My favourite thing about this is how beautiful is smells! It has a sweet vanilla and citrusy scent that is almost good enough to eat.

Carrot Soap- I wasn't sure if I'd like a chunk of soap named after a vegetable but thankful the Carrot soap doesn't actually smell like carrots! Carrot Soap can be used all over but I've been using it as a hand soap as I'm much more of a shower gel (or jelly) girl. It's not the most moisturising but does leave your hands feel very clean and smelling lovely. The scent is an uplifting and zingy mix of lemon oil and bergamot.

Bunch Of Carrots- I'm a complete bubble bath addict so I love it when LUSH do 'reusable' bubble bar's that work out slightly cheaper to purchase. Bunch Of Carrots is a bubble bar with three carrots that can be used several times depending on how bubbly you like your bath to be! I held one whole carrot under the tap to create the bath above. I love the fruity scent that fills the bathroom when you use these, it makes it hard to ever want to get out the tub!

There is a whole bunch more products in the range so make sure you check out the collection online or instores!
Have you tried anything from the LUSH Easter collection?

Before I headed to Disneyland Paris I uploaded a video all about what I was packing in my parks bag to take with me every day. There are some things I think are essential or really handy to carry with you when you go to a Disney park for the day and I think I covered most of them, for the time of year I was heading to Paris, in this video!
