Clarins Eye Quarter Mineral Palette in Forest £32
Every girl deserves a bit of luxury right? That's what I told myself when I ordered the Clarins Quartet in Forest. The Forest quartet was introduced as part of last years Autumn collection but added to the permanent range, a great decision as it's lovely!
The Clarins packaging is beautifully presented with weighty gold casing that feels luxurious and classic. It's made it's way into my MUJI storage on top of my dressing table so I can see it even if I'm not using it. Product packaging is definitely a weakness of mine! The Quartet comes with a red velvet pouch and there is also a big mirror inside the compact. It comes with two foam applicators that I've chucked as I never use them.
To me Forest is a perfect all year round palette but especially great as we go into the colder months (currently writing this under two duvets!) I was a bit unsure about this because of the khaki shade as I've never used a green eye shadow before but it's actually really nice.
Shade 1- a khaki green with a satin finish and only a tiny amount of shimmer, it has a hint of brown making it less of an intense green and very wearable
Shade 2- a light beige cream that is packed with shimmer, it's not overly pigmented but lovely for a sheer colour or for adding some sparkle
Shade 3- a bit of a complex shadow as it looks black but has both green and brown undertones with flecks of gold glitter
Shade 4- a taupe shade with warm brown tones too it and hints of golds shimmer, satin finish
Apart from the second shade all the shadows are very pigmented, they are all creamy soft and easy to blend. They can be applied both dry and wet if you like a more intense colour pay off. There is a small amount of shimmer fall down when applying the shadows dry but it can be easily fixed or avoided if you do your eye make up before your base. The shadows last around 8 hours on me without a primer.
I love this a lot and although it's pricey I think it's worth it for a little bit of luxury and great quality.
Have you tried any Clarins make up?

Ooh I have this too and I love it - I use all the shades and love how pigmented they are!!

OMG shade 4 is calling my name! This quad would be perfect if it had a matte shade for crease blending.

These colours look so beautiful. I think that it's the softness of the powders too that makes them look so good!

Oh that is absolutely an absolutely gorgeous eye shadow palette! I think the second shade will be a great highlighter even if it isn't too pigmented.

Oh that palette looks dreamy, shame about one of the shades being a let down though!
