Review | Magnitone Lucid Cleansing Brush

Magnitone Lucid Facial Cleansing and Exfoliating Brush*  £69.99

Cleansing brushes have surged in popularity over the past couple of years and you can buy one at pretty much any price point. I've always wondered if they are something I should be using in my skincare routine as I don't really suffer from spots but do get dry patches. I've really enjoyed trying out the Magnitone Lucid Cleansing and Exfoliating Brush, it's definitely added to my skincare routine for the better after a month of use.

The Magnitone Lucid comes in blue, yellow, aqua green and hot pink. Inside the box is the Magnitone Lucid, an Active Clean Brush Head, travel charger with UK and EU adapter and a 12 month warranty. It's waterproof (can be used in the shower/bath) and can be easily added to any skincare routine.

It's lightweight and would be really easy to travel with. It has one button to turn on and you are ready to go. I love that it beeps every 20 seconds so you know to move onto the next part of your face to stop you from over using it and it automatically turns off after about a minute. The battery life lasts around 12 hours.

It cleanses and exfoliates to remove dead skin and impurities and has two modes, deep clean and sensitive, that work with the brush head to produce 10,000 rotating 'actions' a minute. I was really worried that it might hurt or feel rough but the 'Deep Clean' mode is quite gentle and you can feel the brush rotating and pulsing as it clears the gunk that's deep in the skin.

This works best in my routine used 4/5 nights a week. It works well with every cleanser I've tried it with but I like it the most with a hot cloth cleanser. I apply the cleanser all over then run the brush under hot water before turning it on and moving it in circular motions round each area of my face, sticking to the 20 second timer.

After use my skin is a lot smoother and softer, it leaves my skin very clean and feels like it's lifted dirt from deep down. I did get a few spots the first week after using this but I took this as a good sign as it meant the brush was shifting the grime from my skin! Since then my skin has stayed clear and free of dry patches. I had a couple of blackheads that have now amazingly gone too but there hasn't been much noticeable change in my pores.

Obviously I can't compare this to any other brushes as I haven't tried one but I do think this is worth the price. It's not something you'd probably purchase on a whim but if you feel like your routine needs something a bit extra then it's worth trying out. I truly think it would work well for all skin types and it's so quick to do that anyone can use it. It has fitted into my skin care routine really easily and made me wonder how clean my skin really was before I started to use it!

The Magnitone Lucid is £69.99 available here.
