meet Lush Tshirts

Slogan t shirts are one of my favourite items to have in my wardrobe because of how easy they are to wear and how fun they can be! My exclusive advertiser for this month is Lush Tshirts, and I highly recommend you go have a look at their website if like me you love these sort of tops.

My absolute favourite top from Lush Tshirts at the moment is the 'Celfie' one. I think it's brilliant and is so on trend with how obsessed we all are with selfies. I also really love the 'I Woke Up Like This' t shirt, totally a nod to Queen Beyonce!

All Lush Tshirts are printed in the UK and there are new designs coming in every week. They have a great range of funny, cool and topical t shirts like ones for Mother's Day. There are gym, festival, music, tv, films and so many more categories. If you know someone with some sort of obsession then you are bound to find them a t shirt they will love.

Currently if you buy three t shirts you get one for free with the code '4for3' and free delivery on orders over £50 or just £2 delivery otherwise.

Review | Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum

Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum
Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum* rrp £17

The winter months always leave my skin feeling dehydrated, dry and just not at it's best, so products that aim to soothe and hydrate are essential. Avene are a french brand that I hadn't heard much of until Escentual started their March offer of up to a third off French Pharmacy brands. Avene promote the properties of the Avene Thermal Spring Water, a therapeutic ingredient in each product, that helps to soothe even the most irritated skin types.

The Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum is best applied after cleansing and before moisturising the skin. It's been easy to add into my routine as it sinks in straight away. It's a very light weight and silicon-gel like formula that feels really calming when I apply it. I've been using this morning and night for the past three weeks whilst my skin has been breaking out and just generally being a bit angry due to sickness, stress and all the crap weather.

I can definitely see an improvement in the smoothness of my skin since using this, it has made my skin feel more comfortable and stops it from looking so dull. It keeps my redness under control and has really helped to soothe breakouts, I wouldn't say it makes them go away any quicker but it calms the redness from those horrid blemishes. It leaves my skin feeling instantly more hydrated and smooth but not weighed down. The light weight formula means it doesn't clog up my pores too.

If you are in need of something to help sort out dull, dry or dehydrated skin then I definitely recommend checking out the Avene Soothing Hydrating Serum, especially if you have sensitive skin. I'm impressed with it and would definitely consider repurchasing it in the future.

If you are in need of some new skin care then head over to Escentual before March ends to check out the fab deals on French Pharmacy brands, I have my eye on some La Roche-Posay products!

Mother's Day with Argento and Pandora

 Pandora Buddha Charm* £30

When an email hit my inbox about the Pandora collection for Mother's Day I was excited to see the range on the Argento website. Pandora has been one of my favourite jewellery brands for a few years since starting my charm bracelet.

The lovely team at Argento offered me the chance to pick out a charm for my Mum to gift her, but this will be the second Mother's Day since she passed away. When browsing the Pandora collection I found the most perfect charm to remind me of my Mum that fits in so well on my bracelet. My Pandora bracelet is full of great memories and reminds me of lots of people that have made an impact on my life for all different reasons, I wear it every day and it really means a lot too me.

My Mum used to have a small wooden Buddha that she would pack in her suitcases to take on holiday and ended up always carrying with her in her handbag, she had it to bring her luck and remind her of family, love and just happy things. She wasn't religious or superstitious, it was just one of those things. I used to be obsessed with it and want to play with when I was younger, and when I went away without her she let me take it with me. It probably seems silly but as soon as I saw the Pandora Buddha charm it just made me think of her and I thought it would be a lovely but subtle way to have her with me all the time in a special way.

I've added it to my bracelet and it already always reminds me of Mum and that even though it's the hardest thing every day not being able to speak to her, I know she is with me still in some way. If you haven't got a Pandora bracelet or are looking to treat your Mum this Mother's Day then head to Argento, I think it's such a sentimental thing to own and be able to add too.

Have you got a Pandora bracelet?

Topcorn Tribe

Ever had one of those emails that makes you full on squeal? Well I had that recently when the fab team at Metcalfe's Skinny Popcorn invited me to be part of their Topcorn Tribe. Being in the Topcorn Tribe is genuinely one of the best things that has ever happened to me, yep I am that sad. Each month Metcalfe's send out a gift box full of the yummy (and healthy) popcorn for me to try and not eat in one go and share my thoughts about across the internet. (My family name is actually Metcalfe too so maybe I am like an unknown heir to an incredible amount of popcorn... probably not!)

I'm trying to make better food choices (for me this means having a medium meal instead of large at McDonald's) and swapping bags of crisps for a much healthier and frankly even tastier snack has been a great way to reduce the amount of calories I scoff every day. Each bag of popcorn is really low in calories, each around 110 calories a bag apart from Chocolate Crackle which is 230. If I am just snacking then half a bag is more than enough to satisfy my cravings!

Inside this months box I received two of each flavours of Wasabi Glaze, Heat n Sweet, Chocolate Crackle, Sweet and Salt, Sweet Cinnamon and Sargent Salt. The only one I don't like is Cinnamon simply because it's a flavour I have never liked, although my Nan managed to quickly solve this problem! Every other bag is amazing and really tasty, I really couldn't pick a favourite!

Metcalfe's Skinny have recently joined forces with the charity CLIC Sargent, the leading children and young person's cancer charity. They have pledged to raise over £30,000 through the sale of the special Sargent Salt bags of popcorn you can find in stores now. What better feeling is it to snack on a lovely and light snack, and to know the money will be going to a really great charity.

I'm developing a full on addiction and for one it's too a snack that is actually not bad for me. If you haven't tried Metcalfe's Skinny Popcorn then go pick up a bag of Sargent Salt, you'll end up falling for the super light and bouncy texture and yummy flavours.

Are you a popcorn lover?

outfit | the cold never bothered me anyway

Picadilly sunglasses*- London Retro
jacket- Topshop
dress- ASOS
necklace & scarf- Primark

(yep I'm trying and failing at outfit pictures again but we can all just brush past that!)
The title of this post is a complete lie as I am constantly cold but I am completely addicted to the newest Disney film 'Frozen'. This is my idea of a 'transition to Spring' outfit because it still keeps me warm even if the sun is starting to appear more, I really don't feel ready to embrace the lighter clothes and pastel colours yet! I also realised I have literally no Spring appropriate clothes so if anyone wants to buy me a whole new wardrobe please feel free! :) The good thing about the sun is I am finally able to wear my snazzy new sunglasses from London Retro, the quality of them is amazing and I will have a whole post up about them soon.
The eagle eyed among you might notice I've had my hair cut off! I finally plucked up the courage and had 7 inches chopped off last weekend and am still adjusting too the short hair life.. It feels and looks so much healthier and I am glad I got it done, now I just need to work out how best to style it and keep it healthy.

Make sure you've entered my fab giveaway with my bestie Sara to win £50 to spend at Selfridges & £50 to spend at Space NK here!

Review | Benefit Gimme Brow

Benefit Gimme Brow* £17.50

If you haven't already then go and read about Brow Arch March to find out the amazing things happening this month with Benefit and Debenhams to raise money and awareness for the charity Look Good Feel Better. The first time I heard about the new Benefit Gimme Brow I began lusting after it and the need to try it grew bigger every day, you can imagine how loudly I squealed when it hit my doorstep! I've said it before but eyebrows are such an important part of make up in, they can completely change the way a face looks.

Gimme Brow is a brow-volumising fiber gel that is water resistant, long lasting, natural looking and buildable. I first thought it would work wonders for those with Cara Delevingne style brows but little for those of us that aren't so blessed, oh how wrong I was! Gimme Brow has a tiny brush is the perfect size and works really well to comb through brows without making a mess and evenly distributes the gel. The formula is *amazing*. It's literally like 'brows in a tube'!

Gimme Brow combs through each individual hair and leaves you with instantly fuller and thicker looking brows. It tints, combs through, thickens, defines, volumises and sets the brows in place, everything you could want! It does all this very quickly and still looks really natural. It also doesn't budge all day til you take your make up off!
If you love a more natural look or have thicker brows then this is all you need. I like using this after filling my brows in with powder as it sets them in place and makes them look '3D' and fuller (if that makes sense!) However I am embracing the natural brow look and have been really enjoying using just this to make my brows look thicker but not too 'done'. I am full on in love with this, you have to go have a look the next time you pass a Benefit Counter!

Gimme Brow comes in Light/Medium and Medium/Deep, both are pretty universal shades and should suit most unless you have very fair brows. Both shades work really well for me. At £17.50 it isn't the cheapest but you need the smallest amount, you could get a good 2-3 months minimum out of the tube. I really think it's worth the investment whether brows are a big part of your make up routine or not. It's my current make up obsession!

Don't forget to read about Brow Arch March and find out how getting your brows wax will help an amazing charity!

Brow Arch March

Benefit Cosmetics are once again proving why they are my favourite brand with their awesome collaboration with Debenhams for 'Brow Arch March' to raise money for the charity Look Good Feel Better. LGFB are a worldwide cancer charity that provides practical support for women struggling with the side effects of cancer. They help women rebuild their self esteem and confidence by group sessions, skincare and make up workshops and so much more. It's a fantastic way of helping women to stay positive, build their confidence and provide support.

Benefit are well known for being fab at all things eyebrows, so for the whole of March you can support this brilliant cause by getting your brows waxed and shaped for a suggested donation of £5 with all proceeds going to Look Good Feel Better! This is kind of like the female Movember and will be running every year to raise vital funds and awareness for a really important charity.

Another amazing part of Brow Arch March is that tomorrow morning there will be an actual march through central London! If you are free tomorow morning and can get into town then you need to get involved, you can find all the info on the Facebook Event here. It's a great way to support the cause and there will of course be Benebabes on hand to give you a 'makeupper' along the route, plus there will be goodies for everyone who joins in!

I've never had my brows waxed before but am going to try to be brave and get involved by going to my local Benefit Brow Bar in Debenhams and getting them done this month! However if I chicken out (because I am awful with any type of pain) I will be donating through the Just Giving page. Benefit have just launched an ammmmmmmazing product called Gimme Brow, which I shall have a full review up on soon but just to let you know... it's incredible!

Please get involved using #BrowArchMarch all over the internet to help raise awareness of this amazing campaign, the difference it will make to so many women is just brilliant, so get involved!
Will you be getting yours brows done?

*Benefit kindly sent me the Brow Arch March kit in the picture

The past two years has flown by and I have loved having a blog and now a YouTube channel to work on, they are like my babies and I work really hard to make content people.
I'm really proud of myself for continuing as sometimes it seems easier to give up, since starting an internship I am finding it much harder to post regularly, but I still love taking the time to create a blog post or video to share with you. I absolutely love sharing my thoughts on beauty, fashion and everything else I ramble about to you all. I cannot say thank you enough to the people who read my blog and watch my YouTube videos, it really means more to me that I could ever explain! I'm going to shut up now before I get too deep or emotional!

From blogging I have met so many lovely people that are now proper friends, with Sara being basically my twin! The amount I love her is crazy, it is so strange to think if I hadn't have started blogging I wouldn't have met her and become as close friends/lovers/sisters/idiots together as we are!

It's super simple to enter, just fill out the rafflecopter form below! You can tweet every day so remember to come back to enter again. We will be moderating all entries so please only enter if you have completed the requirements.

Review | Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical
Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in WhimsicalRevlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical

Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical £7.99

Like every beauty lover around I was far too excited when Revlon announced they would be launching a new range of Matte and Lacquer balms. I am a big fan of the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and ended up with almost every shade when they launched last year, so my hopes were high and my purse was ready for these to launch! I have picked up a few shades of both the Lacquer and Matte formulas so will add swatches over the next couple of weeks, pretty sure I will be buying the rest of the range too if I can find some spare money!

I love this sort of product because of how quick and fuss free they are to apply, it can be done wherever you are and without a mirror if (yep I've tried!) The chubby twist up pencil means it's super easy to use and there is no need to sharpen, perfect packaging! The Revlon ColourBurst Lacquer Balms have a high shine finish and are infused with shea, mango and cocoa butter to keep lips soft and hydrated. Like the Kissable Balm Stain's these have the slightly minty taste and scent, which I personally really like but probably isn't something everyone would be a fan of. They swatch sheerer on the skin but are easily built up to a strong pigmentation with two coats on the lips, but you can build them to be as sheer or as opaque as you want.

Whimsical is a gorgeous berry toned pink/purple that I think would flatter all skin tones. The shimmer particles of the Lacquer are a little bit scary in the bullet but give a gorgeous shine and glossy finish to the lips. Out of all the Lacquer balms I have tested this is the most 'sparkly' but I think it looks nice because of the deep colour and gives it a sort of 3D snazzy effect. I keep an eye on the colour though because as it fades off to a stain the sparkle stays put, I top it up every four hours or so to avoid a glitter lips situation.

I really like Whimsical and am actually a big fan of how shiny it looks. It's moisturising and comfortable to wear, I forget it's there most the time! Now someone take my purse before I go buy all the other shades...

You can pick up the Revlon ColourBurst Lacquer Balms here. They retail for £7.99 but are pretty much always on some sort of offer. Are you a fan?
