ghd Straight & Tame Cream* £14.95
We all know and love ghd for their completely awesome straighteners (I'm still in mourning for my beloved pair that recently passed on and have my heart set on the Wonderland Styler) but not so much is said about their hair products. I was offered the chance to review the ghd Straight & Tame Cream and thought it would be an interesting product to put to the test and see if it lives up to the brilliant quality of the straighteners.
I love having straight hair, but my natural frizzy mess means it's usually a whole lot easier to achieve a wavy or curled look, I'm not the most patient when it comes to hair styling to be honest! The ghd Straight & Tame Cream works to calm and smooth rebellious hair, bringing it under control and protect against heat damage. To use you apply 3-5 pumps, depending on hair length and thickness, into towel dry hair and then blow dry as normal.
The Straight & Tame cream smells really luxurious, like how your hair does when you've been to the hairdressers! It's a creamy texture that feels quite thick at first but when worked into hair is light weight and doesn't weigh it down at all. I love the fact that it has heat protector in it as it means I don't need to use an extra product.
I apply 5 pumps of the ghd Straight & Tame Cream to my thick frizzy mop, blow dry upside down for a couple of minutes to remove most water and to try to get a little bit of volume. I then flip my hair over and blow dry it in two sections with a brush, it really tames the hair and leaves it a lot smoother. It doesn't give me poker straight hair but it eliminates the frizz and leaves it sleeker, softer and a lot more manageable. I imagine going on to use a ghd straightener with this would give the ultimate straight look that would last all day!
The bottle is going to last forever, so if you like straight hair or want to tame yours a bit this is worth investing in! The ghd Straight & Tame Cream can be bought direct from ghd or at a slightly cheaper price here.
Have you tried any of the ghd hair products?
