Review | Frozen Lip Smacker Lip Balms

Yep I am still well and truly obsessed with Frozen (I'm sure my neighbours are sick of me belting out Let It Go). Frozen seems to be a bit marmite, you either love it or hate it. Which ever camp you fall into you cannot deny that the success it has had is incredible, I don't think even Disney could have predicted how huge Frozen would be. I remember being at Disney World just before it came out and they weren't even advertising it that much but now it's everywhere you turn!

I think it's a well known fact that I am a Disney addict and I'm all for the Frozen fever, so when the new Frozen Lip Smacker lip balms hit my door step there were squeals of delight. Available in six different characters, each with a different scent, they are super cute and not as sickly sweet as you'd expect.

The lip balm range includes:
Anna- strawberry shake
Elsa- cool vanilla mint
Olaf- coconut snowballs
Sven- berry slush
Elsa & Anna- chilled cranberry shake

They all smell lovely and true to the flavour they are. They are transparent balms that apply smoothly and leave your lips feeling soft. They aren't the most hydrating lip balms and not something I'd pick to use over night or when my lips are seriously dry but for during the day or before lipstick they are fab. They smell lovely, taste nice (everyone does it) and are great fun!

Frozen Lip Smackers cost £2.49 individually or there is a cute tin containing all six lip balms for £10. As with anything Frozen I'm sure they are going to fly off the shelves so keep your eyes out for them!

Review | Method Christmas Hand Washes

I was first introduced to Method through their awesome Disney collection of hand and bath products, which you can read about here. I love Method's brand, attitude, packaging and brilliant products.
Method are the 'people against dirty', they have a range of all things clean from washing up to laundry and specialty products like steel cleaner. Method's products are made of non toxic ingredients and look so good that you wouldn't want to hide them under your sink!

Method have brought out two Christmassy hand washes for the festive period that are available in both foaming and gel formulas.
Peppermint Vanilla- A swirl of crisp mint and and creamy vanilla, sure to jingle your bells.
Mulled Cider- A warm blend of apple, clove and cinnamon that would make even Frosty melt.

I love both scents and actually do not have a favourite. Peppermint Vanilla is very cooling and refreshing where as Mulled Cider is quite warming and and comforting. It's another way to extend the festive feeling through the house. The scents aren't artificial smelling and linger for a while without being overpowering.

The hand washes cost £2.50 each and are available online here, in Waitrose and other retailers.

Review | November Degustabox

(just want to say a little sorry for being so awol with my blog lately, I feel a bit rubbish at the moment and lacking in motivation- however I also wanted to say thank you so much for reading as it really does mean the world to me)
Degustabox delivery date is possibly my favourite time of the month, who wouldn't love a surprise box of food goodies arriving on their doorstop? Degustabox is a monthly subscription that costs £12.99 incl delivery and you can cancel at any time with no worries or charges. Products are picked to suit your tastes. The November box was a mixed one for me but between myself and my family everything has been consumed rather quickly!

My family love Kettle Crisps so we were all quite happy to find a big bag of the Salsa and Mesquite flavour crisps in the box, they have a moreish bbq flavouring and the bag wasn't around for long. The Stir In Fajita Shots are a brilliant idea, just add one or two for a tasty fajita mix. I gave the two curry mixes to my Aunt as she makes curry a lot. It's another really easy thing to do, just add the sauce to meat. The Caramelised Onion Chutney has been put in the cupboard for Christmas Day!

My favourite thing in the November box was the Lindt Melting Moments, there were five but I couldn't wait to eat one before taking a picture. I love Lindor chocolates and these are those gorgeous melt in your mouth truffle style chocolates that I could eat hundreds of in one go!
I also loved the Pips Cloudy Apple Orange Juice, I'll definitely be looking out for it in the shops.

I'm not a coffee drinker but my Nan is and she really liked the spiced Chai Latte drink, it's a perfect festive drink for this time of year. The Cool Dawn drinks are apparently for recovery when you may have had one to many drinks so I'm sure they will be put to use over the next few days. Finally the Italian Montano Cider was delicious, really lovely and already added to the pre Christmas day shopping list!

Review | Barry M Limited Edition Christmas Nail Paints

Barry M Limited Edition Christmas Nail Paint 2014* £3.99 each

With under two weeks til Christmas it's time to get properly festive. I'm typing this in my Christmas jumper with the snazziest festive nails you will have ever seen all thanks to Barry M. Barry M have topped the beauty charts in my eyes this year with their two limited edition polishes packed with sparkles, stars and glitter.

Moonlight is a gorgeous mix of silver, gold and red on a clear base. It has lots of metallic silver glitter in three different types and sizes, small gold hexagon shape pieces, larger red metallic pieces, tiny glitter flecks and silver stars. This is the more Christmassy polish of the two for me.

Starlight is a mix of pale pinks, yellow gold and silver glitters on a clear base. It has silver stars, pale pink holographic pieces, yellow-gold holographic pieces in different sizes, silver stars and tiny glitter flecks. I think this would be amazing for New Years!

Moonlight and Starlight are both beautiful layered over a coloured polish. You need just one coat of each to get a super sparkly effect as the polishes are so dense in glitter. This is the perfect time of year to go all out with the sparkle and at £3.99 each they definitely won't break the bank.

Both polishes are exclusive to Boots and avalilable now here!

Review | Fossil Watch from Joshua James Jewellery

You all know about my love of rose gold, so when Joshua James Jewellery offered me the chance to pick something off their website I knew this Fossil beauty was going to become the new love of my life. Joshua James is a jewellery website that was founded in 2009 shortly after the brands first store opening in Yorkshire. Joshua James Jewellery stock a vast range of brands including Pandora, Michael Kors, Tresor Paris and many more.

I own just one watch by Michael Kors, which I purchased in Orlando last year. I'd never worn a watch before owning it but now I can't leave the house without wearing it or I feel kind of naked. My MK watch is also rose gold but quite plain with only a tiny hint of sparkle. When I saw the Fossil watch* online my eyes lit up and I felt that butterfly feeling you hear all about in the movies. (and we all wonder why I'm single)

The service from Joshua James Jewellery was fantastic, delivery was very quick and the watch was packaged safely but not with a ridiculous amount of excess packaging. Delivery is completely free and you can order up until the 23rd if you are after a Christmas present! The watch I picked was the last one so I can't link to it, but you have to look at the website as they have some great prices that would be hard to beat elsewhere.

Fossil and Michael Kors watches are actually designed and manufactured in the same place so if you're looking for a watch have a think about if you'd be happy to pay almost double the price just for a brand name because I know now how much I could've saved by going for a Fossil! The Fossil watch has become my 'special' watch for when I am going somewhere nice or just fancy a bit more sparkle in my look. You can't really beat the quality at the price point and I know it's going to last me a very long time.

I've now got my eye on this ring by Pandora, it's been top of my wishlist for ages so if anyone fancies treating me for Christmas...
Are you a rose gold watch fan?

outfit | #VeryOnTrend

playsuit*- Very
jacket- Topshop
bag*- Very
boots*- Very

A couple of weeks ago I was invited to attend the #VeryOnTrend event hosted by Very.co.uk and Cosmopolitan Magazine. I was so excited to pick an outfit from the Very website, check out the Very Party Edit and the new collection by Sam Faiers, unfortunately that week I got poorly and couldn't make it! :(

I wanted to share my outfit choice with you anyway as I really like it and am sad I haven't had an opportunity to wear it yet! I love playsuits and knew this pick from Glamorous was going to be the focus of my outfit as soon as I saw it. It's a navy playsuit with a sleeveless cut and a double layered design. I really like the copper coloured rose print that is mixed with a lace pattern.
I paired the playsuit with my super old Topshop faux leather jacket, a pair of black heeled boots and a box clutch both from Very.

I'm gutted to have missed the fashion show but have narrowed my favourite outfits down to the above three after spending hours looking through the pictures! You can find out more about the #VeryOnTrend event here.
If you're looking for your festive outfit make sure to check out the Very's party dresses as they've got all the trends covered and have highlighted the key pieces to keep you looking stylish this Christmas!

The Magical Orlando Tag

If there is a tag related to Disney/Orlando/Universal etc then there is no way I'm not going to do it!
I love these sort of questions because Orlando is my most favourite place and I love absolutely anything to do with it! I'm currently planning my trip back for October next year and really cannot wait.

Which Hogwarts house would you be sorted into?
I'd like to say Gryffindor as I'd totally love to be best friend with Harry and the gang but I'd also fit fairly well in Hufflepuff. I'm a Leo starsign so I do have that fiery side to my personality that you'd find in Gryffindor but I'm also a lot like the Hufflepuff traits too, so it would probably depend on  my mood!

Name a Disney character you’d like to have dinner with?
It's impossible to pick just one character, I literally cannot do it. I'd love to have dinner with Mickey Mouse as he is the character that started it all! I'd love to have dinner with any of the princesses but Belle is my top pick as I've always loved her the most as I really relate to her.

Which Marvel superhero power would you choose?I must confess I have only ever watched one Marvel film and it's not something that appeals to me. I've had a Google and would go with Mystique from X Men's power to shapeshift, not for vain reasons but simply because it would be so fun to change the way you look all the time!

If you could bring back one dinosaur breed from Jurassic Park, which would it be?
I think we all learnt that you should not bring back dinosaurs as it always ends in disaster, clearly the people in the new Jurassic World film know nothing ha! I'd definitely bring back a vegetarian dinosaur that has a calm nature so maybe a diplodocus.

You can ride a dragon at the Triwizard Tournament and visit the Owlery at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but where else would you go on a school trip to Hogsmeade?
Another impossible question! I'd love to visit Honeydukes and stop up on all the strange but tasty sweet treats, I'd definitely have been a chocolate frog card collector. I'd also have to go for a meal and a Butterbeer in the Three Broomsticks!

A scene in any Disney, Harry Potter or Marvel movie you wish you could experience?
Another question that doesn't have just one answer because there are so many beautiful scenes in Disney films. The winner for me is the Tale As Old As Time scene in Beauty and the Beast. It's just such a magical moment and has always been special to me. It's incredibly romantic, the song is beautiful and Belle's gown is perfect!

Name one item from any Harry Potter, Disney or Marvel movie would you want for Christmas.
Definitely the invisibility cloak, I'd love to be able to disappear and go wherever I wanted too. I'd also love any of the princess gowns just so I could wear it all the time and feel special! Can I also go for a Fairy Godmother to look out for me?

Name one unforgettable experience/moment you’ve had at the Orlando Parks.Absolutely nothing will beat the experience of walking into Magic Kingdom for the first time. The first day of our trip last year we headed to MK and I was already emotional as we were on the monorail approaching the entrance. When we walked under the arches and through to the entrance of the park I was honestly the happiest I have ever been in my entire life. I can't explain how that moment felt, it was just perfect.

I hope you enjoyed this tag, I loved answering the questions although some of them are quite hard!
I tag Brogan, Charlotte and anyone else who loves Orlando!

Review | New Barry M Nail Paint Shades

Barry M Nail Paints* in Ballerina, Vintage Violet and Nightshade £2.99 each

Since Barry M brought out their Gelly Hi Shine range I've neglected their original Nail Paints, however when I was young it was pretty much my life goal to collect them all! Barry M have a huge range of colours in their classic Nail Paint and have just added three new shades to the family.

Ballerina- A dusty pink that is soft and very pretty. I actually prefer this with a matte top coat to almost toughen up the girliness!
Vintage Violet- A deep violet with a grey undertone. I own nothing like this and think it's a great polish for winter and into spring time.
Nightshade- A very dark plum that looks almost black. It doesn't photograph as beautiful as it is in person!

Ballerina, Vintage Violet and Nightshade are all cream finish polishes with a lovely gloss finish. They perform much better than polishes that cost double the price. The Nail Paints apply smoothly and work best when applied in thin coats. They are thinner in consistency than the Gelly's so sometimes dry a bit streaky and need a third coat of polish.

For £2.99 these are great polishes but I will always prefer the Barry M Gelly's!
Have you tried the Barry M Nail Paints?

Review | Lanolips 101 Ointment

As soon as it gets cold the battle against my dry and flaky lips begins and doesn't really end til it starts to warm up again. Lanolips is one of those cult products I've heard about for years and has won multiple beauty awards, including being called the world's best lip balm. With claims like that it became top of my wishlist of things to put to the test.

Lanolips 101 Ointment is a multipurpose balm that contains 100% pure lanolin (the wax on a sheep's fur- hence the cute packaging) and can hold up to 200% of it's weight in water. Lanolips can be used on lips, cuticles and dry skin patches. It's a very thick, unscented balm that feels almost like a paste until it's warmed up where it melts into the skin.

I pop a thick layer of this on before bed and leave it to work it's magic. In the morning my lips are softened, moisturised and hydrated. I like to take a small amount of this and put it on as the first step in my make up routine so by the time I get to lipstick it's melted into my lips leaving a really comfortable base for lipstick. Combining this with a lip scrub has meant that my lips aren't turning into the chapped and dry mess that they usually are this time of year.

I honestly think this is the best lip balm I've ever tried and I'd put it straight to the top of your beauty wishlist if your lips are suffering in the cold weather! I haven't tried it on cuticles but I whacked some on the dry bits round my nose when I had a bad cold a couple of weeks ago and it sorted my skin out over night too.

It's a pricey lip balm, but it's completely worth it and I don't think I'll ever be without it!
Lanolips 101 Ointment costs £10.99 here.

Review | Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss

Barry M Surprise Surprise Lipgloss £4.49

If you watch Surprise Surprise then you probably saw the episode featuring the amazing Holly Addison. I missed the epsiode but have since watched it back and after hearing about Holly and what's she achieved I urge you all to make sure you pick up one of these lipglosses to support an awesome cause!

Holly has raised over £7000 in 18 months for charities including the Katherine House Hospice where Holly's Dad stayed whilst being treated for an aggressive form of brain cancer. As part of Holly's Surprise Surprise experience she has teamed up with Barry M to create a limited edition lipgloss where 70% of the proceeds go straight to the Katherine House Hospice.

The lipgloss is called Holly A's Surprise Surprise Lipgloss and is only around for a limited period so make sure you get your hands on one. The gloss is a pale and milky pink with a gold shimmer that doesn't really show to much on the lips. It's a lovely nude shade that might not suit everyone when worn alone but paired with a lipstick it's gorgeous. I team this with MAC Creme Cup, my go to daily lipstick, for a perfect nude lip. The scent (and taste) is a yummy strawberry and mango mix, which reminds me of sherbet sweets. It's easy to apply with the doe foot applicator and the formula isn't too sticky.

I'm not a huge gloss fan but have been reaching for this a lot. The fact it looks great paired with my every day lipstick means I've used it a lot and actually ended up really liking it. It does fade over a couple of hours but it's so easy to top up that it's not a problem.

Loosing a parent at a young age is one of the worst pains you can experience, to me Holly is a huge inspiration as she's been through a difficult thing and done something special by raising a fab amount of money that's only going to rise with this brilliant collaboration.

Make sure you pick up the Surprise Surprise Lipgloss whilst it's around for the next few months.
