Review | Bliss Grapefruit and Aloe Soapy Suds

Bliss Grapefruit and Aloe Soapy Suds
Bliss Grapefruit and Aloe Soapy Suds
Bliss Grapefruit and Aloe Soapy Suds* £15.40

Bliss have recently launched their products into Marks & Spencer beauty halls. Bliss are known for their spa's around the world and creating a range of products for home use with spa quality. Bliss are a fun brand, with products packaged in a really inviting way. In the past Bliss have been the source of controversy for their range "Fat Girl Slim", products that target things like cellulite and skin that needs firming. I discovered this range from Bliss before their other products when I used to work in Debenhams and remember joking about needing them. I found it a light hearted way of marketing the range but it could be seen as offensive by others. What do you think about this?

I am a huge bath lover and could spend hours in there, especially if the bubble bath smells good. Bliss Grapefruit and Aloe Soapy Suds smells amazing. It is quite sweet but not sickly or overpowering. It really is gorgeous, definitely have a look if you see it in store! It is also paraben free and has lovin skin loving ingredients like Vitamin E, I wouldn't say it makes my skin any more moisturised but it definitely does not leave me with dryer skin that I get sometimes from bath products.  I prefer using this as a bubble bath simply because I like to relax with all the lovely scented bubbles but this is a gorgeous shower gel too. I only need a couple of pumps to get lots of bubbles. Although it is more than I'd pay for a bubble bath you get more for your money and it does last a lot longer than the cheaper products.

Have you tried anything from Bliss?

Review | The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club Box 3rd Edition

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Box
The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club Box 3rd Edition £5*

I am addicted to perfume, to the point where I don't feel 'ready' unless I have spritzed one of my favourite scents on. I own quite a few perfumes and love how a scent can uplift your mood or match an occasion. I love finding new perfumes, especially ones I had not heard of before as I can be easily sucked in to buying perfume that is hyped or promoted by a celebrity (One Direction perfume review coming soon!) The Fragrance Shop have a fragrance box that you can subscribe too called the Discovery Club. The idea is clever and I haven't seen anything similar which is just about fragrance.

The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club Box costs £5 per box, boxes are sent quarterly through the year. Each box usually contains 5 perfume samples but the 3rd Edition box contains an extra male fragrance sample. Inside every Discovery Club Box is always a book of vouchers for The Fragrance Shop with money off the fragrances in the box, inside the 3rd Edition Box the discounts have been doubled to £10 off each fragrance.

Alien Aqua Chic by Thierry Mugler- A floral scent with orange and lemon tree blossom. It has a woody and rich base with notes of amber and jasmine. It's quite a strong fresh scent but is not my sort of perfume.
Legend Pour Femme by Mont Blanc- Another floral scent with strong notes of orange, pear, lily and jasmine. This is a slightly more mature scent but is still quite sweet and wearable.
Quizas, Quizas, Quiazs Pasion by Loewe- I love the berries in this scent, it is very feminine and quite sweet. It also has woody notes but they balance out well with the fruity notes to make a romantic lasting scent.
For Her by Elvis Jesus- I love the grapefruit scent with a slight hint of peppermint of cherry that comes with the first spray of this. Might sound like a weird combination but it works! It has a mix of floral, sweet and woody scents that work well to create an edgy and different fragrance.
Eau de Lacoste Noir by Lacoste- This is really refreshing with watermelon, basil and lavender. It has a hint of chocolate too! I love this and think it is a gorgeous male fragrance.
Gentleman Only by Givenchy- This is spicy and fresh with hints of orange and pink peppercorns. With slightly woody hints of nutmeg and birch leaves that make an elegant masculine fragrance.

I am a big fan of perfume samples as they give you the chance to test a perfume properly through the day and see how it wears, they are also great for throwing into your bag to take on the go. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but I have found shops to be a lot more stingy when it comes to giving out fragrance samples. I think The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club is a brilliant idea if like me you love testing out perfumes and are always on the hunt for a new favourite. I think £5 is a fair price to pay for the box, especially as you get generous discounts if you decide to purchase one of the fragrances.

Would you consider signing up to The Fragrance Shop Discovery Club?

OOTD | everything that kills me makes me feel alive

dress*- asos
leather jacket- topshop
necklace*- awkward annie
bag- zara office city
boots- debenhams

Last night I had one of the best nights I have had in a long time playing Bingo with Lorna, Penny and Georgina. You may laugh but it was so much fun and we had such a laugh together! I have a whole post planned about the night and what we got up too, including almost winning the jackpot but playing with the complete wrong game strip and management having to intervene...
Autumn has properly kicked in and it's time to turn my "summer wardrobe" into a winter one by adding tights to everything. I only recently got this dress from ASOS but have had my eye on it for ages. I love the loose fitting shape and the 60's style print. I really love this necklace I was kindly sent by Awkward Annie, I love statement necklaces and studs so this is right up my street. I like the different textures from the necklace layers and think it brightens up the outfit a bit, I live in dark colours when it gets cold! I am still lugging around the Zara Office City Bag, and although it gets painfully heavy it is such a practical bag.

If you are looking for a vintage or retro inspired piece for your wardrobe or home then definitely have a look on Awkward Annie, I love their handmade signs for the home!
*I was kindly sent the necklace to feature from Awkward Annie.
*I was generously gifted an ASOS voucher to find an outfit or Bingo- more on that to come soon.

Elemis Fresh Skin Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser £19.99*

The Elemis Fresh Skin range is designed for young skin, from teens to twenties, to help skin appear brighter and more radiant, with naturally active ingredients chosen specifically for younger skin. It's a great range to try if you are just starting to get into skincare or if you feel you want to strip back to having a basic but really good skincare regime that is suitable for all skin types.
The packaging of Elemis Softly Softly Moisturiser is very clean and simple. I really like the pump packaging, it's hygenic and easy to dispense the right amount, however it does mean you can't see how much product you have left and I am dreading the day it stops pumping out the moisturiser!
Enriched with seaweed extract, this light and non-greasy daily moisturiser helps protect and moisturise. Rosehip seed oil and sweet almond oil deliver soothing and softening qualities ensuring the skin receives an instant hydrating boost. Skin is left revitalised and more radiant.
Elemis Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser is full of all natural ingredients, that work to calm, soothe and hydrate the skin, including rosehip seed oil, lavendar, seaweed extract, sweet almond oil and chamomile. It does have a strong scent that I can't explain properly but I think it is the seaweed extract and rosehip oil, it isn't an unpleasant scent but might be overpowering for some. Elemis Softly Softly Moisturiser has a creamy texture that feels very light weight, for me it sinks in very quickly as I have dry skin.

For the past few warmer months (it is a shame there isn't an SPF in it) where my skin has been less dry this has been a lovely day time moisturiser. I don't think this would work much for me when it is colder as that is when my skin suffers with serious dry patches that this light weight texture wouldn't provide enough moisture for. However for other skin types I think this would be a good daily moisturiser all year round, it very light so would work for oily skin, it doesn't have anything artificial in the ingredients and doesn't clog pores so won't cause breakouts.

It is slightly on the pricey side but I would consider purchasing this again next Summer. I think it would definitely be worth the price for oily and combination skins who only need a small amount of moisturiser!

Elemis Fresh Skin Softly Softly Daily Moisturiser costs £20 and is available from Superdrug.

Wishlist | Reiss

I have always loved the amazing designs from Reiss, full of classic cuts and designs that are always in fashion. I admit on my budget I can't afford to go into Reiss and spend like I would in Primark, but I still have my eye on a lot of things that I think would be an investment as Reiss designs are timeless. It might be obvious that I am a bit obsessed with monochrome!
white shirt- A white shirt is something I've learnt is essential in my wardrobe! If I ever don't know what to wear than a white shirt, jeans and a blazer is what I would probably end up wearing! I love the shape of this white shirt and that the buttons are hidden.
shorts- I loveeee the geometric print of these shorts and think they would look fab with tights and boots now it's a lot colder. They are high waisted but look long enough to cover the bum, which is so hard to find in shorts!
leather dress- I feel like 'texture' is a big part of AW this year (I am probably completely wrong though as I am rubbish!) I love the contrast of the leather top and flared skirt on this dress. I like the zip on the back too and think it is a great LBD alternative.
jacket- It is now officially winter in my book and time for me to never be outside without a jacket or coat! I think this jacket is perfect for the monochrome trend. It reminds me of the tweed style blazers but more edgy.
silk shirt- If it wasn't already obvious I love shirts, I reaaaaally want to own a silk shirt and I love the pastel blue colour of this one. It is so elegant I probably couldn't pull it off but I'd love to try!
bag- I can't not include a bag in a wishlist. I love the croc print of this tan bag, I think it is really chic and sophisticated, it could be used day or night and would go with absolutely everything!

What do you think of my Reiss picks? You can see more from Reiss here

Woman's Wellness Week

Women's Wellness Week
Woman's Wellness Week is being launched today by the UK's largest spa booking agency The message of Woman's Wellness Week is #bekindtoyou, women nowadays have busy lives than ever that sometimes our own wellbeing can be forgotten about. The concept of #bekindtoyou is to raise awareness and discussion about women's health, and to encourage us to all be a bit kinder to ourselves!
Members of the team are walking 100 miles (in their dressing gowns!!) to raise money for Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better is a charity that supports women with cancer in lots of different ways. One of the ways they help women is by holding free skincare and make up workshops to boost confidence and have fun! Each patient is given a goody bag full of different products to create a specific skincare and make up regime, the perfect cosmetics tool kit!
The team, supported by the Elemis bus, have walked for free days from Bath to London, something that can't have been fun as the weather has been awful! 100 miles in three days means they have walked further than a marathon each day. It's such an amazing thing for the to have achieved, especially in aid of such a brilliant charity.
Today there will be a #bekindtoyou raffle draw on the @spabreaks Twitter page. There are some amazing prizes up for grabs including spa breaks, golfing holidays, a designer handbag, bootcamp classes, skincare products and a Glossybox subscription. There are three ways to be entered into the #bekindtoyouraffle. The first is to buy a #bekindtoyou wristband for £2 including p&p, it's a great way to donate a little bit of money and spread the word about Woman's Wellness Week. The second way to be entered is to add a £2 donation to any booking made on today, so it's a perfect time to book a getaway and treat yourself. The final way you can enter is to donate here.

Guest Post | Naked 2 Palette by Chloe Posts

I’m so excited to be doing this post as it’s the first guest post and I’m so happy to be doing it on Ellie’s fantastic blog! I wanted to write about something I really love and came to the conclusion that it could be none other than the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette so here goes…
I have to admit I bought this product on a bit of a whim. I’d heard the hype and wasn’t really convinced, passing it off as a fad that would soon blow over. However, a few months later I was flying back from a holiday and was surprised to see the palette in the shopping magazine. It was quite a bit cheaper on the plane so I thought I’d give it a go. If you own this product you’ll know that it comes with a mini lip-gloss, but I have to say I’m not a fan, the colour isn’t right for me. But the eye shadows more than make up for it.
I’ll give you a quick outline of all the shades in the palette and how I like to wear them.
From left to right:
·         Foxy – a matte beige, perfect as a base for a big eyeliner look.
·         Half Baked – a shimmery yellow gold, looks great on its own with coral lipstick.
·         Bootycall – a very light pale shimmer, the best brow highlight I know.
·         Chopper – a rust coloured shimmer, works well on its own for a toned down natural look.
·         Tease – a matte mid-brown, great for adding depth to the crease, also good as a brow powder.
·         Snakebite – a deep brown with a slight shimmer, great as a crease shade when paired with ‘suspect’.
·         Suspect – a shimmery taupe, great for understated/elegant looks, works well paired with ‘snakebite’.
·         Pistol - a metallic grey, great for a night-out.
·         Verve – a white silver shimmer, love this in the inner corner of the eye.
·         YDK – a bronze shimmer, nothing looks better on a night out with a simple red lip.
·         Busted – a dark, almost purple silver shimmer, more of a night out colour, needs a lot of blending.
·         Blackout – a matte black, great for the lash line.

Now, after that whistle-stop tour of the palette, I thought I’d share my top 3 shades with you in more detail.
From left to right; half baked, suspect, YDK.
First is Half Baked. I can’t express how much I love this shade, it’s virtually the only shade I wore on my eyes during the summer. It’s stunning, especially on green eyes. All you need for summer nights is a quick sweep of this across the eyelids paired with a vibrant coral lipstick and you’re done – simply amazing!
Next is Suspect. Now I must admit, it doesn’t look anything special in the palette but it looks gorgeous on the eye. I love wearing this to work as its super pretty without being over the top and has quite a sophisticated look to it, especially with some liquid eye liner.
Last but by no means least is YDK. This shade is so hard to describe so I’m hoping you can get some sense of it from the swatch. This is just an amazing shade; I have to use it in any night out look just to add a bit of grown-up sparkle. The last thing I would say about the palette is don’t neglect the brush that comes in the palette – it’s better than you think. The fatter brush is a great substitute for a MAC 217 and it’s always handy to have a brush in the palette!

I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. Please check out my blog Chloe PostsWhat are your favourite shades from the palette? I’m sure Ellie would love to know in the comments!
Bye! x

YouTube | Primark Haul September 2013

I might have popped into Primark again and bought a few more things, it's becoming more difficult to leave without having bought something! If the video above doesn't work then click here to go to the YouTube page. I'd love it so much if you would like, comment and subscribe so you know when I next post a video! If you have any ideas for videos you'd like to see me do then please let me know!

Style Me If You Can

DELIVERY IN 90 MINUTES?! Warehouse that is absolutely genius. The amount of times I would have done anything to get a new outfit on my door step in 90 minutes. You can check here if your postcode is eligible for 90 minute delivery. The video campaign Style Me If You Can is about one woman changing her outfit through out the day to match where she is going, obviously I wouldn't want to get changed that much but I think it is a great video to show the delivery service and how quickly you can get an order to you if you need it asap! All of the outfits in the video are winning looks from a competition run earlier this year, you can see them all here. My favourite outfit is definitely the interview look, I still love the shirt and statement necklace trend.

At least next time I am having a wardrobe meltdown I know there is always an option of getting something new to me really quick! What do you think of the Warehouse video?

Review | Vitage Age Defence Hydrating Mask
Vitage Age Defence Hydrating Mask* £24

Keeping my skin hydrated is something that can be quite difficult as I suffer from dry and dehydrated skin, no amount of water I drink seems to restore moisture and I am always trying to find the next moisturiser or mask to help soothe the dryness. I was recently introduced to Vitage Skincare through Skin Rejuve Direct, a website that stocks a variety of different skincare brands and products.

The Vitage Age Defence Hydrating Mask is an intensive, deeply hydrating mask that gives an instant moisture surge to the skin, leaving it soft and supple. Potent antioxidants combined with essential fatty acids help to regenerate the skin, whilst green seaweed extract helps promote an in depth moisturisation. An ideal night treatment for intensive skin hydration.

The Vitage Hydrating Mask has quite a light weight formula and a really lovely but light scent that I can't put my finger on but it's not overpowering at all. It can be applied for about 20 minutes for a quick pampering session or can be applied to cleansed skin and left over night then washed off with warm water in the morning. I have dry skin so find that this sinks into my skin very quickly so I don't have to worry about getting it all over my pillow!

After using the Vitage Hydrating Mask overnight I cleanse my face with warm water and am left with soft and slightly plumper skin in most areas, it does hydrate my skin but for me it is not intensive enough. The results of using the mask are quite good in most parts but I do find that it doesn't make much difference to the really dry patches I have. However if you have normal skin or slightly dry skin then I think this would work brilliantly as a mask to soften, plump up and hydrate the skin.

The Vitage Age Defence Hydrating Mask costs £24 from Skin Rejuve Direct.
It's definitely worth checking out Skin Rejuve Direct, they stock some brilliant brands including Murad and Young Blood Cosmetics!

Review | One Direction Kiss You Lipstick in I Wish (Zayn)

One Direction Kiss You Lipstick in I Wish £3
The One Direction make up range recently launched in Superdrug by MUA Cosmetics. So far I think I have been quite restrained having only purchased all of the five lipsticks (THAT IS RESTRAINED) . It's like my two favourite things have combined- One Direction and lipstick! Insert jokes about how excited I was to smear One Direction over my face. The range also includes five tinted lip balms, five nail polishes and three blush sticks, I'm sure if this collection is popular they will be adding a few more products to the range!
Each of the five lipsticks is associated with one of the boys from the band, they are also named after a One Direction song (it just gets better)! I really like the packaging of the Kiss You lipstick, it's probably not everyone's taste but I love it. The lipstick come in red and black packaging with 'Kiss You' written in the One Direction font. Inside the bullet the signature of the band member is printed, which I think is a lovely touch. The lipstick also has the 1D logo and 'xo's embossed into it.
I Wish is Zayn's lipstick from the range. Zayn is known for always hitting the high notes and making melodies sound peeerfect (also famous for his appearance as hot lady Zayn in the Best Song Ever video). I Wish is a bright bubblegum pink shade with blue undertones. I Wish is incredibly pigmented and very creamy in formula. It's impressive how the lipstick lasts, after four hours it will need reapplying. I Wish has a more glossy finish than I Want and also leaves a slight stain. This One Direction lipstick to be really moisturising and comfortable on the lips. I really love the colour, top marks Zayn! (Lady Zayn definitely picked the shade!)

I Wish costs £3 and I am so impressed with it. I will repurchase again and again. Even if you aren't a Directioner it really might be worth picking up the Kiss You Lipsticks! Considering you can get all of the Kiss You Lipsticks for the price of one from MAC, they are amazing for such a cheap price.
One Direction make up is available from Superdrug. Have you picked up anything from the range?
I spent most of last night laughing with Sara from Pretty In Pink about this quiz by Vue Cinemas,"Which member of One Direction is your perfect match?" No guesses for which member is destined to be mine. I actually knew which answer related to which band member when I was reading through them, bonus points to those of you who can figure it out too! Let me know in the comments who is your perfect One Direction match (BUT BACK OFF HAZZA).
