If your skin tone is anything like mine, (which for your sake I hope it isn't) then most of the time even the palest foundation is to orange for you. In the summer I can find a great match but in the winter I can really struggle. On one of my many (pretty much three times a week) trips to Superdrug I came across this absolute gem. Barry M stock a foundation that is completely white! Sounds scary right?
I am not pale enough that this shade matches my skin but if I mix it in with any other foundation I am able to make a shade that truly matches my skin tone. Most of my foundations at the moment are too orange for me because I really do not remember the last time I had a lot of sunlight. One pump of my foundation added with some of the Barry M Creme and I can mix together a shade suitable for the pale skin I have. It doesn't seem to affect the coverage or formula of the foundation either.
Barry M Creme Foundation costs £6.19 and can be found in larger drug stores.
Would this help you out with pale skin?

It's a lifesaver for us pale girls! X
Deletei got this last year it is amazing for my pale skin with foundation! more brands should come out with a product like this to help all us pale girls! x
ReplyDeleteI agree, most foundations are too orange so this has been brilliant!xx
DeleteOoh this sounds perfect! I definitely need to give this a go :) I bought the Laura Mercier Silk Creme foundation a while ago and returned it because the palest shade was ridiculously dark! I could buy it again and just mix it with this! :) xx
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! It really helps when my skin is paler this time of year xx
DeleteI've wanted to try this for a while- its definitely on my wishlist now! I'm not super pale like some but I am quite pale so drugstore shades never suit me and always look orange and dark and not nice :/ xx
ReplyDeleteYou are the same as me, I just find most drugstore foundations are too orangey and a small dot of this can really help!xx
DeleteI used this once as Halloween make-up but never thought of mixing it with some of my darker foundations - such a good idea! Thank you, this will be a total lifesaver during the winter months when I am at my most pasty!

It does look very halloweeny but a small bit really works to make foundation better for my skin tone :) xx
DeleteI don't have pale skin but this is a really good idea! May well recommend this to my paler friends :)

It is fab, saves so much money on products not been wasted!xx
DeleteSuch a great idea! I recently bought fit me foundation and it can look really orange sometimes, thanks for the tip!
ReplyDeletexox
my fit me foundation is really orange on me too!xx
DeleteThat sounds amazing, especially if it doesn't effect your normal foundation at all. I have tried so many foundations, only to abandon them because they looked way too orange in natural light compared with how they looked when tested in the shop. Hoping this comes to Ireland, as many Barry M products aren't stocked over here!
ReplyDeleteI hope you're able to get your hand on it! Xx
DeleteI really struggle with foundation.
ReplyDeleteI have only ever found one that is perfect for my skin tone, although I've just recently found a Miss Sporty one that is pretty close :)
But this would be a life saver. Thanks for leaving a post about it.

It's a life saver! Xx
Deletei have the exact same problem with foundation in winter, and i doubt i ever would have thought to pick this up - i tend to water mine down a bit with moisturiser, but this seems like a great alternative!

I like to keep the coverage so this is great!xx
DeleteI wear MAC Studio Fix in shade NW15 which is the lightest one they did at the time I purchase it; I love the foundation itself but find it a tad orange so I will definitely give this a try!

Definitely worth it so you can make the most of your foundations!xx
DeleteThis looks great, I think I definitely need to try this, I wear the lightest shade in my foundation and my face still looks suspiciously orange compared to my neck

It's worse this time of year because I'm so pale! X
DeleteI am so glad that companies are now making products aimed to very pale girls! I know MAC carries a off-white in the face & body range [it's pretty much white with a teeeeensy bit of a very light coral] that is amazing to mix up with another foundations too :) Illamasqua also have some very pale shades too if you'd like to check that out
ReplyDeleteI've never tried anything from illamasqua as its a bit pricey for me but I defintely want too. This is a fab budget alternative tho!xx
DeleteI always see this and never know whether to purchase it but I think I may now!
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great investment :) xx
DeleteOoooh yes I think I've heard of this before and I was really wondering what it was for, except for makeup artists or Halloween makeup looks - now I understand! Glad you found something that suits your skintone x
ReplyDeleteOooouuu. I definitely need this, but I've never come across BarryM in Canada, unfortunately
