Review | Alterna Caviar Moisturising Duo

If you have been reading for a while you probably know how I feel about my hair. I hate it! It is dry, dehydrated and damaged from heat and dye. I have been trying so many different shampoos and conditioners recently to try and give my hair a bit of life, and this duo is by far my new favourite. Look Fantastic contacted me to ask if I would like to try a shampoo and conditioner from Alterna and I jumped at the chance.

Products free of parabens, sulfates, and other nasty ingredients have increased in popularity recently, and this duo from Alterna ticks the chemical free box. I tend not too like sulfate free products as much as they do not lather up that well so make you think your hair is not as clean, but the Alterna Caviar Moisturising Shampoo lathers up well and creates a foam than cleanses my hair and leaves it feeling smooth, it is full of really lovely ingredients such as seasilk that helps to restore and protect hair from future damage. The Moisturising Conditioner is thick and feels really luxurious to use, it gives my hair the moisture and  hydration it craves but doesn't leave it feeling heavy and weighed down with product.

I love the design of the bottles, both of them have an easy turn to open and close lid, which is great because you do not waste any product by dropping it or spilling it, something I always do in the shower. I think the packaging looks sleek and professional too. The shampoo and conditioner are lightly fragranced with a floral scent that leaves my hair smelling fresh and clean but not overpowering.

I have fallen in love with this duo and really recommend it to anyone looking to give their hair a real treat. My hair feels softer, hydrated and looks so much healthier. The shampoo and conditioner has really improved the condition of my hair and using them both has made my hair feel amazing.

Alterna Caviar Moisturising Shampoo and Conditioner cost £27 a bottle from Look Fantastic.

  1. Great review Ellie, I love trying different shampoo and conditioners. Despite these being more pricey than those you find at the local supermarket, you pay for quality and at the end of the day we need to look after our locks don't we :)

  2. You lucky thing, would love a few bits from Look Fantastic! These are going on my in-head shopping list. I have dry hair too, what a pain. Glad I found your blog :)
