I am a lip balm fanatic. I know this is probably not a good thing considering the more you apply it the more you need it, but I always have lots of lip balms in my bag. I am always wearing some form of lip product and love the easiness of tinted lip balms. You can keep lips moisturised but still have a pop of colour.
I have never used anything from Burt's Bees before so was really excited by this product. The Burt's Bees Lip Balm in Red Dahlia* that comes in a brown tube style packaging. It kind of made me think the product inside may be bigger or that the outside packaging was not really necessary, but it does look more luxurious.
Red Dahlia is a deep red colour in the tube but is actually really sheer. It took about three swiped to get a decent enough swatch to show up on camera. It is very sheer and not overly pigmented, but it is a tinted lip balm so pigmentation is not the priority. I am not really disappointed by the sheerness as it is nice to have a product that is really easy to where but I was quite surprised. I absolutely love the texture of the Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm, it is really creamy and glides onto the lips so smoothly. I love the fruity scent too, which is not overpowering. It is 100% natural and has shea butter, coconut oil and beeswax to make it extra moisturising. I do like this as it leaves my lips feeling very soft and hydrated with a slight hint of colour, but I think I would like it even more and probably purchase one if it was more pigmented.
Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm costs £5.99 from Debenhams.

I've got the Honeysuckle version of this, as well as most of their regular balms, and it's quite nice :) x
ReplyDeleteI like it but think you can get the same thing cheaper in Boots :) x
DeleteI recently bought the honey Burts Bee Lip Balm and it smells amazing, but thought it dried my lips out? I need to try it a few more times to be sure.. but I love Burt's Bees products!

Thank you x
DeleteMy Mum got the regular one of these and hated it because it was so minty. Its put me off trying more Burts Bees. The pigmentation really isn't great for the price is it x
