Hey lovelies,
As you probably all know I am a Cath Kidston obsessive. I was given this make up brush set from my boyfriends family for my 18th birthday last week and I could not think of a present more up my street.
I have actually picked this up before in shops and lusted after it, so you can imagine my delight when I opened this on my birthday.
I think the print is so beautiful. It is called "Spring Bouquet", a baby blue with pastel coloured flowers. The material is oilcloth, which is great as it means it can be wiped down if it gets dirty. It actually folds up to a decent size and would be great for travelling.
I love that the pattern continues inside, and each brush has it's own pouch to keep it safe and neat. There is also a plastic flap that covers the ends of the brushes to keep them protected and clean. I think this is a great idea and really makes the case stand out from others I have, such as the travel case for the Real Techniques Core Collection.
There is an extra space with a zip to store any other essentials like tweezers and scissors. The brushes themselves are a good quality. They are soft and easy to handle. I think they are synthetic brushes, but considering they do feel nice. I like the simple white wooden handles. In total there are seven brushes, covering all possible uses. Overall this a fab brush set for travelling with and if you are a newbie with brushes.
I picked up these glass jars for £1 each from a shop called Tiger. They come with lids but I think they are a cute way of storing make up brushes. My room is being redecorated and I am trying to think of ways to store my make up and beauty products on a budget.
The Cath Kidston brush set retails at £25 and can be purchased here in different prints.
Do you like the look of the make up brush set?
Have you got any budget ways of storing make up?
I set up a Facebook page for my blog which can be liked here!

DeleteAh that is really cute! You're so lucky haha. I thoguht they'd cost more - £25 sounds quite reasonable for a nice brush set and brush holder, especially from Cath Kidston.
